A new location rarely falls behind because one device was forgotten. Delays usually happen where construction, carriers, installers, business systems, and operational decisions depend on one another. This checklist keeps those dependencies visible from site selection through handoff.
1. Define the operating requirements before selecting products
Begin with how the location needs to operate. User counts and floor plans matter, but so do opening hours, critical workflows, guest access, payment systems, remote support, call routing, physical-security expectations, and tolerance for downtime.
A concise requirements brief gives every carrier, vendor, and installer the same starting point. It also makes proposals easier to compare because the business need stays separate from a particular product recommendation.

Order primary connectivity early enough to absorb surveys and construction. If the location cannot operate without internet access, define a backup path that does not share the same likely point of failure.

Hold a structured handoff before the project team disperses. Record accepted exceptions and remaining work instead of allowing them to become undocumented operating conditions.
